Song Dynasty: Here are two poems by Wang Yan that were written in response to each other:

As I wander through life,

I find myself lost,

Without any purpose or goal.

My heart is heavy with grief,

For all my past mistakes

And regrets that cannot be undone.

But still I hold on

To my dreams of better days,

And hope that someday

I will find my way back home.

For now I must continue

On this journey alone,

With only my thoughts for company.

So let me cherish these moments,

For they are all we have left.

Let us live our lives fully,

And never look back with regret.

In this second poem,

The world outside seems so vast and wide,

A place where dreams come true or fade away like sandcastles built by children at playtime.

Yet within its confines lies a small world of love, friendship, laughter, tears – all bound together by threads so fine they can barely be seen but feel like lifelines connecting us one person at a time.

Here too resides our greatest fear:

That we may lose sight of who we truly are amidst the chaos around us;

That our hearts may grow cold towards others because we've become numb from pain;

Or worse yet - That one day we'll wake up empty-handed without even realizing how much has slipped through our fingers like grains of sand between fingers clenched tightly shut against an invisible force pushing them away from us into oblivion!

These fears weigh heavily upon me as I contemplate these next steps ahead - Will there ever come a day when love prevails over hatred? Can forgiveness heal wounds deep enough to mend broken souls?

Only time will tell if humanity learns anything new about itself during these dark times!
