杨兰春,豫剧之父,以其卓越的编剧和导演才能,为豫剧的发展贡献了宝贵的力量。出生于河北武安县,1938年踏入艺术世界,1943年加入八路军,并随大军南下至河南。转业后,他先后担任洛阳县、市、专区文工团(队)长,期间积累了丰富的人生经验。

1952年,他赴中央戏剧学院学习歌剧,与同窗们合作改编了《小二黑结婚》,这部作品成为了中国歌剧舞剧院的经典节目。在学习结束后,他回到家乡,担任河南省歌剧团编剧兼导演,一直致力于推动戏曲艺术的创新与发展。

尤其是在现代戏方面,杨兰春不仅是一位杰出的创作者,更是组织者。他在这个领域内做出了巨大的贡献,其中最著名的是他创作并导演的《朝阳沟》。这一作品曾三次进京表演,并受到了党和国家领导人的高度评价。此外,它还被出版为书籍,被拍摄成电影,以及灌制唱片,使其广为传播,被誉为“朝阳沟”的奠基人。

在40多年的艺术生涯中,杨兰春不仅继承了传统,还融合了新的导演技巧,最终形成了一种独特而深刻的艺术风格。他曾担任中国戏曲协会主席、中国戏曲现代研究会常务理事等职,对促进戏曲文化交流发挥了重要作用。

2009年,由于健康原因离我们而去,但他的作品和精神将永远激励着新一代艺人们继续前行。Yang Lan Chun, a legendary figure in Chinese drama and opera, was born in 1920 in Wu'an County, Hebei Province. He joined the Eighth Route Army in 1943 and fought alongside the Red Army during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. After demobilization, he became involved with local theater troupes as an administrator.

In 1952, Yang enrolled at the Central Academy of Drama to study song-and-dance performance. During his time there, he co-adapted "Little Black's Wedding," which later became a staple of China's Song and Dance Ensemble.

Upon graduation from college, Yang returned home to work for the Henan Song and Dance Troupe as both playwright and director. Over time, he also took on roles such as deputy head of art affairs at the Henan Opera Theatre and chairman of its Third Troupe.

As a key figure in promoting modern works within traditional forms like Peking Opera (also known as Beijing Opera), Yang made significant contributions to this field through his original works like "The Battle at Dawn" or "Battle Under Dawn." This play had three performances in Beijing before being published by several major publishing houses: People's Literature Publishing House (Beijing), Music Publishing House (Beijing), River South Press (Henan) - all well-known national or provincial-level publishers - resulting in no less than fifteen editions worldwide! It has since been adapted into film and recorded onto vinyl records.

From 1964 onwards until his passing away on June 2nd ,2009 ,he was honored by various titles such as Chairman of China’s Association for Researching Modern Chinese Theater Arts; Vice-Chairman & Honorary Member; President & Permanent Director Board Member & First Secretary General Of The International Society For Performing Arts – Asia Pacific Region;and many other prestigious positions that allowed him full freedom to promote arts across different countries under one umbrella

He is considered one among those who gave new life to their nation’s cultural heritage while keeping it alive throughout generations without losing any essence . His impact will continue shaping future generations’ artistic vision forevermore
